What this is
keepingupwith.ai is an automated AI-news digest. This page explains what data the site collects from you, why, and what your rights are. Plain English, no dark patterns.
What we collect
- Page-view analytics — visits are counted via Plausible Analytics (plausible.io). Plausible does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you. Your IP address is hashed for the day to deduplicate visitors and discarded after 24 hours. We see aggregate counts, not individuals.
- Newsletter signups — if you subscribe to the email digest, your email address is stored by Buttondown (buttondown.com), our newsletter processor. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
- Server logs — our reverse proxy records request method, path, status code, and a truncated IP for operational debugging. Logs are rotated and discarded after 30 days.
What we don't collect
- Accounts, passwords, or behavioural profiles — there are no user accounts.
- Advertising identifiers, cross-site trackers, or third-party social pixels.
- Anything you type into the search box (search runs in your browser).
Third parties
The only third-party services that receive data about your visit are Plausible Analytics (page-view counts) and, if you subscribe, Buttondown (your email). We do not sell or share data with anyone else.
Your rights (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA)
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (in practice, your newsletter subscription record), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@keepingupwith.ai and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes too. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
