According to TechCrunch, Bitdeer, a crypto-mining company, will partner with Volta to develop and operate the facility. The data center will be powered by Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems, the chipmaker’s latest AI chip architecture. Volta operates as part of Nvidia’s Cloud Partner program, a network of AI infrastructure providers using Nvidia GPUs.

Volta had previously indicated it was negotiating with an unnamed AI lab but withheld the partner’s identity.
